As the hosting sites update their site codes, some of the mirrors stop working. Ziddu and Zippyshare mirrors weren’t working for past few days and we have fixed it now. We are now back on 16 working mirrors.

As you may have noticed, we are now offering direct download links at the download page instead of redirect links/pages. We are sure this is much more convenient to the visitors for downloading from their favorite hosts. However, this is still in experimental stage and if we find an increase in the number of ‘link-stealers’ (those who do not share Mirrorcreator links, instead sharing individual links), we will revert it back to the redirect method.

We were receiving a few complaints recently stating the popunders on Mirrorcreator contains malware and viruses. And hence, we decided to remove those popunders from our site!

Please note that we never hosted or will host any malware or virus in our site. Unfortunately, a few tricky advertisers try  to distribute these contents through third party ad networks.  Since Mirrorcreator is a free service, we need to run third party advertisements on the site to cover the huge server cost. Anyway, from now, we will only use advertisements from trusted ad networks and make sure there wont be any malware/virus problem in future.

Today, we have limited the maximum remote uploading size back to 100MB. Lots of people were abusing the service by uploading junk files in mass volume which not only uses huge server resources, but also causes the site to slow down at certain peak traffic times.

Please note that our maximum normal upload size will still remain at 300MB.
